It is my birthday. I am one year old now. To celebrate, Mommy let me have an entire slice of mesquite smoked turkey lunchmeat. Otherwise, I've had no good new people food. Mommy and Daddy have me on food lockdown because they say my butt is getting big. I don't know about all of that.

I think I'm a fox.

Shrimp Pad Thai

Mommy and Daddy told me that they were going to a picnic last night. It turns out that they got lost and ended up in somewhere called Pahrump. On the way home, they got Thai food because it was traumatic. I guess Mommy doesn't like to cook after a trauma.

They went to Lotus of Siam. Most importantly, they brought a lot home and Daddy had it for breakfast.

I sampled the Pad Thai because the stuff Daddy got (NUA YUM KATIEM) was way too spicy for a little kitty with such a discerning palate. Pad thai is good. I like the texture of the noodles and the bean sprouts. Mommy got hers with shrimp. I have tried shrimp many times before and enjoyed it. I hope they go there again and bring more leftovers. Next time, I want them to get Thai bbq chicken. I like bbq sauce and I LOVE poultry so I don't see how that could be bad.
Mesquite Smoked Turkey

Mommy and Daddy have me on food lock-down because they say I am getting too bottom heavy.

Leaning Tower of Teeksa

I still get some tasty treats from time to time. But I've had to learn to get sneaky about it. Mommy eats a turkey sandwich for lunch every day. If I watch her, I can usually steal a piece of turkey. She's slow, so I can eat it before she catches me. Or, if I lick her sandwich bread , she'll give me some because she said that moist bread is gross.

Today, I heard the turkey drawer open and I began stalking her. She's tired from work, so she cut up a slice and let me have it. All so she could enjoy her turkey in peace.

For a while, Mommy was getting a different kind of turkey. I like this one better. More flavor, less slimy texture. I just have to figure out how to get the door of the giant cold vault to open and then I can have all of the turkey that I want.

Maple Syrup and Brown Sugar Diet Oatmeal

I was exhausted last night after spending the evening trying to train my minion
Tiki and Feltiki. One of them has a giant eye booger because he just woke up from a nap.

After doing so much work, I needed a healthy start this morning. Mommy had oatmeal. This is a big change for her since she swears that cereal is the only proper breakfast.

I liked the oatmeal. It was a little soft and squishy, like my butt. After we finished about half of the bowl, Mommy became enraged because she thought she carefully checked the label and she knew she could taste artificial sweetener. (Mommy hates artificial sweetener and wishes they wouldn't bother sweetening things at all rather than use that stuff.) Honestly, I didn't mind the Splenda.

Since the oatmeal upset Mommy, I am guessing that means I get to finish all of it. That's fine. I need a healthy start now that I have an army to command.

This is not about food

Mommy finished the bar exam today, so there will be updates soon. Until then, Clicky clicky. I'm awesome. Mommy says that I should be very honored that people get to rearrange my parts.

Popsicle Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Treats

Sorry for the delay. Mommy is being slow again due to the bar exam thing that she is constantly talking about. She said things will be back to normal in a little over two weeks.

Mommy and Daddy LOVE ice cream. Which is good because I also love ice cream. Daddy has always been fond of the Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake popsicle. He was a little sad when they didn't have that at the grocery palace. So he bought Popsicle's version of the treat.

I've never had the Good Humor version, so this is all I know. But I like it. There is a delightful crumb coating which is made of attractive colors. The inside is filled with delicious ice cream. And it is conveniently packaged on a stick, which makes it easier for Mommy and Daddy to hold for me.

Generic Multi-grain Toaster Waffles with Log Cabin Lite Maple Syrup

Mommy must be feeling a little off today. Instead of eating a bowl of cereal for breakfast, she made something called waffles. I watched from afar at first because I was confused. I am so glad that I got closer and sampled what was on her plate.

At first I only licked off the syrup. That stuff is good. The waffle is the perfect receptacle for the syrup because of the little syrup canyons inherent in its shape. I started to chew on the waffle and that was also tasty.

I definitely like waffles and I hope Mommy (or Daddy for that matter) makes these a regular part of my diet.

Shrimp, revisited

Mommy has been very busy with something called "the bar" and she hasn't been able to type for me. She's also too busy to experiment with new recipes, so she's been making a lot of the items that I have already reviewed. It's okay though since I like a lot of those foods.

Tonight, I tried shrimp again.

As I suspected, it was good. I was sitting atop Mount Tikimanjaro earlier in the evening.

From atop Mount Tikimanjaro, the king waits for you to bring him a sacrifice. If you do not obey, he will disintegrate you with the death rays that shoot from his eyes.

Mommy and Daddy seemed to think it was important for me to descend from the mountain. I was not keen on the idea since I was enjoying the high altitudes. Mommy came over to the highest point she could reach (which is honestly not very high) and lured me down with the shrimp.

I suppose I'm glad that I came down. I had one shrimp, which took me quite a while since I insist that all foods are made into tiki sized pieces. This one had a bit more flavor as I believe Mommy put some spices on it. I like it. I want more.
